It looks like your Android 2.1 hungry Xperia X10 owners out there will get some food for your mobile phones soon. Sony Ericsson just confirmed in it's product blog that the long awaited Android 2.1 (Eclair) update for the Xperia X10 familiy will start to roll out from Sunday, 31 October 2010 on.
The Sony Ericsson Product Blog has just confirmed that Sony Ericsson will start to roll out the Android 2.1 update for the X10 family from coming Sunday on. However, it was already announced earlier that the firmware upgrade will be deployed in different steps over time, depending on the country you are living in:
As I’ve pointed out previously here on the blog the software upgrade will be done in a phased roll-out which means that different “kits” gets the update at different times. This to secure quality in all networks and countries. So don’t get paranoid if your phone isn’t updated in the very first days – it will come!
So if you are one of the lucky ones to get the update early next week, let us know your impression and thoughts! For the rest of us, you can have sneak peaks at what's now here and here.
