Hazel is the latest addition to the Sony Ericsson GreenHeart™ family. Read on to get more details, tons of live pictures and a first impression video of the slider phone.
The GreenHeart line up is Sony Ericsson's contribution to a greener world. The program features measurements like e-manuals instead of paper printed manuals, bio-plastic housings or low power consuming chargers. The Hazel joins this line up together with the also announced Elm. The slider phone features the well-known Sony Ericsson proprietary operating system, a 5MP camera with a photo light, the internal memory can be extended with microSD cards. Assisted GPS (aGPS) with Google Maps is on board, as well as a scratch resistant display and a splash resistant body.
The slider phone introduces also two new features: Clear Voice and Noise Shield. Clear Voice is a technology that is supposed to make a caller's voice more understandable and distinguishable from eventual background noise. This is achieved by adopting the sound level depending on background noise (i.e. in loud environments, the sound level is increased automatically) Noise Shield is quite the opposite, it reduces background noise during a call in order to improve the voice quality for the person that gets your call.
