LiveView - micro display mirrors Android phone's content

Sony Ericsson anounced today a new accessory called 'LiveView'. It introduces a rather interesting concept, which is the ability to show the phone's content remotely on a small (3.5 x 3.5 x 1.1cm) micro display (1,3”colour OLED display, 128x128 pixels resolution). Although it is not a touch display, the user can navigate on the device by touching the frames on each side. This allows for interaction with the device, and more over, with the Android phone that is connected to the small display.

No Symbian OS phones from SE anymore?

According to a statement from Sony Ericsson's spokesman to Bloomberg, Sony Ericsson is currently not planning on releasing new phones that are powered by the Symbian operating system. Note the 'currently' in above statemtent, which in theory could mean that SE will release a phone using the open source platform again sometime in the future.

SE Product Testing Institute Video Campaign

Sony Ericsson has launched a pretty funny viral marketing campaign on Youtube - it shows product comparison "tests" with different kind of people. Models, Toddlers, Surfers, Rockers, everybody gets their show time demonstrating that the Xperia X10 is superior to a range of other smartphones.

There are some pretty hilarious episodes there, especially the models and the toddlers :) They are well worth checking them out, watch out for more "tests" to come!

Sony Ericsson official mobile phone supplier for UEFA Champions League
