Never has a phone name described a device better than Sony Ericsson's 'Pureness'. It is the 3rd phone in the XPERIA line, and it is clearly targeted at an audience which loves puristic, simple, extravagant and individual things (and which are ready to pay for all the before mentioned...) The most unique feature of the Pureness is the screen - a technology which seems to project the display content into a transparent piece of glass!

Sony Ericsson is the first manufacturer to use this technology in a mobile phone. Now, what other technology does one find in Pureness? Everything that's necessary for mobile communication - period. No camera, no GPS, no WiFi. Old fashioned and way too 2001-ish? Absolutely right! But it is the combination between "reduce to the max" simplicity, cutting edge technology and the resultant exclusive visual appearance which generates the hard to describe appeal of this phone. The same mix, together with the expected high price tag, also generates the refusal of technology- and feature oriented people. Or in short: either you love it, or you hate it.
