Vivaz pro - Live Pics & Hands on video
Sony Ericsson Vivaz goes pro - the earlier announced HD capable mobile phone comes in a second version with a full hardware QWERTY keyboard. First impressions, live pictures and a hands on video after the break.
Earlier in January, Sony Ericsson announced its first handset which is capable to record videos in HD resolution, the Vivaz. Today, the video flagship phone gets company by the Vivaz pro. It has an almost identical set of features, the most obvious difference is the presence of a full QWERTY keyboard. Here is a list with the most important features:
- 16:9 nHD TFT touchscreen, 3.2 inches, 360 x 640 pixels
- 109 x 51.7 x 15 mm, 117 grams
- Symbian S60 5th Edition
- Processor: 720 MHz
- 5.1 MP camera, 720p HD video recording, continuos autofocus
- FM Radio
- 3.5mm Audio jack
- TV out (VGA)
- DLNA certified (photos and audio)
Compared to the Vivaz, the camera has a lower resolution (5.1 vs. 8 Megapixels), and the Vivaz pro is also bigger and heavier than its non-pro colleague. Other than that, the two phones are identical.
The keys on the slider keyboard are sitting very low in the device's body and don't have a very clear pressure point. It is still much more convenient to type especially larger messages on the hardware keyboard rather than using the on-screen software keys.
