Xperia mini pro - hands on video & live pictures
The mini's are back! The world's smallest Android phones have just got a revamp, mostly in terms of features. Read on for more details, live pictures and a hands-on video of the Xperia mini pro.
Compared to its precessedor X10 mini pro, the Xperia mini pro has not only more features, it is also slightly bigger (+2mm in height, +1mm in width, +2mm in thickness). The most visible change is the display size, it grew from 2.5 inches to 3.0, using the available space on the mobile's front much more efficiently. Another addition is the front facing camera, and the back- and menu buttons on the bottom are not mechanical anymore, but touch-sensitive. The latter is not really an improvement we found, since the haptic feedback is missing.
The keyboard did not get changed, which is a good thing. The keys are still very easy to use and have a comfortable pressure point. Find the most important features below:

The Xperia mini (pro) runs Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread), and Sony Ericsson continues to use the 4-corner UI that they introduced with the X10 mini line already. Only small changes have been applied, each corner can now hold up to 4 shortcuts as an example
The new mini's will be available in Q3 2011, according to Sony Ericsson (as soon as we have a more precise date, we will update you of course).
